A trash can you won't want to hide in the pantry. The fluted, softly shimmering finish looks more like furniture than a garbage bin, and the lid closes slow and quiet instead of slamming. Step on the pedal for quick tosses, lift the lid to 90° when you're clearing a cutting board, and pull out the inner bucket when it's time to take it out.
Why we picked it
Why it’s worth it
Your trash can sits in plain sight every single day, so it might as well look good. This one gets the fluted look right, plus a soft-close lid and rust-resistant stainless steel.
What we like
The lid drifts shut instead of clanging, which matters at midnight. It also stays open at 90° when you lift it, and the inner bucket pulls straight out so bag changes don't get messy.
Best for
Open kitchens where the trash can is always on display, anyone decorating in warm neutral tones, and busy households that fill a full-size 13-gallon bag fast. Starter bags included.
